actually i always say gesundheit after people sneeze, even during midterms, but only if they're within earshot.
and the reason i always say it, and why that word in particular, is because: 1) there's no religious connotation associated with it 2) the actual english definition of the word is Used to wish good health to a person who has just sneezed.
i figured if the word is there to be used for such an occasion, and that occasion alone, why not use it? :)
and yes, history certainly does repeat itself. im starting to wonder if the cycle can be broken..
