Haha... awesome stuff! You have a lot of new pics, they just rarely get posted! :p I've heard that song once before, but it's going to be burned onto my brain for a while now!
That third one is pretty cool... it also reminds me, the next game from the guys who did ICO/SotC is called "The Last Guardian" if you haven't seen it already... also... there's a Layton/Ace Attorney crossover on the way from the same guys who are doing the new Ghibli RPG on DS/PS3!
For drawing inspiration... have you done anything with those screentones yet? I'm sorta curious how it'd turn out or what you'd try. How about some kind of youkai party? That should be pretty fun and open-ended and give you something to draw out some creativity since there are all sorts to choose from!
Steven Chow is the man; a Journey to the West movie from him will be awesome! Actually, I just tried the game Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and was let down by how un-interactive it felt... so to satisfy my JttW hunger, I grabbed the TV series of Monkey and have been getting into
( ... )
Unf, yes! I'm totally going to jump on Last Guardian when it comes out. Hoping it ties well with the other two but it still looks fun even if it doesn't. Haha, my f-list exploded with the Layton/Phoenix stuff when it came out, but I still haven't played Ace Attorney yet so I can't fully 'ppreciate D: (but WHUT Ghibli RPG?? Looks interesting...)
Haven't done anything with the screentones yet, as I don't want to waste 'em! However, that youkai idea sounds like it'd be a blast @w@b!! Thanks! I'm gonna try and ramp up enough momentum to do an actual finished thing and use those tones on it!
Haha, Chow is pretty good isn't he ;)? Actually, he's played Monkey King before in the 2-part movie A Chinese Odyssey (entertaining, but not one of my favorites!). Curious to see if he'll do anything different in this new one, as I think he's doing the directing/writing in it? Oh, and I've been meaning to check Monkey out too! Should be good at finding it out there, but thanks!
Ahahaha, you have no idea how much I want to :,D! So many terrible fanart thoughts go through my head, but no time to put it out on paper... the world is safer this way!
