OMG. Laptop is dead! I am internetless or at least very difficult to be reaching internet for the foreseeable future! I am twitching from the withdrawal. :(
I have taken to handwriting blog posts. This can not be a good sign.
So.... saw the new Star Trek movie last night. Preeeetty much loved it. I had a fangasm every five minutes when they did something iconic to the old series. Meeting Bones for the first time? I nearly squeed myself off of my chair. And "giving it all she's got captain"? OMG. :-D Gonna hafta see it again because you can't be objective when you're busy squeeing all over the place like that, lol.
Was not distracted by the pretty. Was worried that I would be. WAS distracted by Uhura/Spock. Do. Not. Want. Seriously. NO PAIRINGS plz. I like my ST:OS gen. Not sure why. But I might have been cooler with it if it hadn't felt like it was upstaging the Kirk Spock friendship. I don't really slash those guys, I prefer them as friends. But I wanted more of them interacting and less of Spock macking. Plus, Uhura and Spock?? What?
Also, as my friend Dillon said, "What? Pairing Uhura? But she's the sex object! You can't pair the sex object!" LOLS.
Leonard Nimoy was ACE. Adore that man.
Also? People complaining about the whole change of the ship design and all that jazz? Totally need to chillax. Roddenberry himself was NOT a details man. My parents saw him when he was on his college tour and when he needed to know an episode name, he'd ask the audience and they'd shout it back to him. He cared about the STORY, not the little things. I think he would have loved that movie.
Also also. Guy in the red jump suit dying? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry red shirt, I LOLed at your death. And saw it coming. And grinned like a madwoman waiting for it. THANK YOU WRITERS! :-D
(But seriously? Shouldn't all 3 of the people jumping out of the spaceship have had charges in case 1 died? Just saying...)
P.S. Tuvok's family TOTALLY escaped Vulcan, okay? NOBODY ARGUE WITH ME ON THIS, MY SISTER IS A FENCER. SHE WILL GO ALL SULU ON YOU.
