Big Damn Fandom Suggestion Post
Before everyone gets super excited and focused on the championship poll, I wanted to get this post up. This game has been a huge success this year and we're definitely going to run it again next year.
Here's where you come in. This year, we had 32 sci-fi/fantasy fandoms, each with two characters moving on from the prelims. Next year, it would be wonderful if we could have a full set of 64 different fandoms.
Please suggest any and all fandoms you would like to see represented next year. Suggest as many as you'd like, but one per comment; if you see someone else already suggesting the fandom you wanted, reply to their comment with a +1 or yes please or something rather than starting a new thread.
If you are going to suggest a fandom, also include a list of characters. We are not going through the Sorry I Forgot About You poll again next year.
No need to mention fandoms that were in this year's poll. The vast majority (if not all) of them will show up next year. Here's a list of this year's fandoms.
Books, video games, television shows, movies, everything is go as long as it can reasonably be described as science-fiction or fantasy.
Fandoms that were excluded this year, but will automatically be included next year:
Battlestar Galactica (2003)
Being Human
Caprica
Doctor Who (2005)
Firefly
Fringe
Game of Thrones
Harry Potter
Torchwood
True Blood
The X-Files
Note: The mod (and anyone who helps her out next year) reserves the right to combine relevant fandom franchises as necessary in order to make room for as many individual fandoms as possible. We also reserve the right to Wikipedia characters to make sure that we're not flooding the prelim poll with every single character that's ever made an appearance. Also, there's no guarantee that every fandom suggested will make it in. There are only 64 spots and far more than that number of valid fandoms.
