Of course, the Republicans are actually more unpopular than the Democrats.
I don't like the Republicans chances for taking back the Senate b/c there are only 2 Democrat seats that have a realistic chance of turning over (LA, SD). BUt there are at least 4 or 5 Republican seats (MN, CO, NH, VA, OR) with a chance of turning over. As for the House, the Republicans best chance of getting the 16 seats they need is if they win back a lot of the close House seats they lost in 2006. I don't remember all the results now but I think there were about 18 House seats that the Dems won where it was a very slim margin like 51-48%.
