I've seen 530KB/sec dl from my DSL. And I pay half as much.

the point is the upload speed, they bumped it up to 1034 from 328. Also I do not have a choice, since there is no DSL service available in my place.

There is another thought just occurred to me, you can get DSL for 12.99 for 384/128 speeds, then one can order lets say 3 phone lines with 3 DSL accounts, trunk together those 3 lines into one, and for $38 you get 1.1mbps/384mbps plus you get redundancy:)

So, you're right about Comcast.

17Kb down, 1.5Kb up.
after a few secs of download, it falls down to 6Kb/1.5Kb.
