I have an out-of-town friend that's been talking about coming to pay me a visit. He told me if he ended up visiting he'd love to have a fun day in San Francisco. He's 23-years-old and loves to be active. Any suggestions for fun things we could do together? Touristy recommendations are good, but I'd also like some less tourist oriented activities. I

Check the tides and lunar phase before going to the Wave Organ. It's a gurgle even at the best of times so may as well have a loud gurgle (high tide, new or full moon)

Climb the hills to Coit Tower. It's a workout, has a great view, and looks like a giant penis. So, win-win-win.
