Help for a kitty in Chicago area

My friend nekosensei was walking a mis-delivered package to its rightful owner the other day when she was accosted by the most adorable and friendly kitty. She's seen that cats and dogs have been abandoned in that area before, so she's trying to find this kitty a home. If she calls animal control, they'll simply euthanize it. She's willing to drive the

Where in Chicago?

If she doesn't have any luck, she should contact Red Door, they're a no-kill shelter in west Rogers park that's mostly cats and rabbits.

(And FYI, animal control doesn't immediately euth animals - many other local shelters pull from there, some don't even take animals that haven't been through AC first. But IDK what a random grey tabby's odds would be.)

I'm late, but I wanted to say that I will ask around, because she looks just so fantastically sweet! I want to take her sooooo so so bad, but we already have three kitties in our apartment and I don't think we can handle any more. But I will ask, let your friend know that I will do my best <3

Thank you. She looks just like one of my adopted kitties---who was dropped off at my house at night in a box---and yes, she is extravagantly affectionate.
