I'm glad she got some good care Bill. Her top number is better than mine, but she's got me beat with that bottom pressure... (PS didn't want to have to use systolic and dystolic just in case... :) ) Hopefully things were really improving by the time they got her up to her room... at least you should have seen a decent decrease in her BP and heart rate I hope. Give her my best, and my best to both of you. *hugs*
By the time we departed last night she was getting better in the BP numbers. It would still range a bit. One half hour at 130/90 then several half hours at 150/110. The pulse was also up and down 65-70 then up to 130-140. She was calm for the most part. Her heart is definately working very hard.
Dave and I go back to see her in a while. Hope she had improvements overnight.
Wow. You went to hospital twice in just 2 months! I'm glad to hear that it wasn't too serious. I don't think she remembers me but my best regards to her! :)
What if you hadn't gone to the the clean up... and weren't there to take your mom in for care. You, your sister and Dave did the right thing. Sometimes parents will resist medical treatment and rationalize serious problems as "the flu" or "heartburn."
And it's incredibly sweet that the family goes to your mom's place to clean up... It's something that most adult kids won't do.
That's sure the truth Gary. My sister and I were saying the same thing last night. It's very rare that we have a combined housework day at my Mom's place but the planets alligned for us yesterday and I'm sure glad they did.
I think my sister and I have to decode Mom's complaints a little better. She wasn't very clear on her ailments but now that we look back she did give us some clues, we just didn't clue in very quickly.
I can't really say 'don't worry' because I'd worry sick if my Mum showed alarming signs your mother did. As your mother took care of you as a child, now it's your turn to give back. It's a long bumpy road. *hugs*
