Day 5

May 01, 2006 16:58

Well guys, I've been a bit out of the loop lately due to another hospitalization of my Mom. She had a fall last Thursday and while she didn't break anything in the fall she couldn't regain a standing position either. So, she called 911 when she couldn't remember my or my sister's cell numbers. The medics take her to the local hospital and they ( Read more... )

Glad to hear that your Mom was not hurt badly when she fell and is now out of the hospital. It is very nice to hear that you and your sister can help her whenever she needs it (I have and will have that "distance" issue when my parents get older...). Now, I hope you can relax and take some good rest. HUGs.

What you need is a bit of distraction, to keep your mind off these problems with your Mom. *hugs*

It's good to know that your mom had it in her mind to call 911. It doesn't sound as if anyone is particularly close to where your mother lives... It's also great to know that's she's doing well.

Parents. i guess now is the time with the children become the caregivers and roles are reversed; it's kind of nice to feel needed in that way.

Yeah, guess it's time for a dose of "parenthood" -- I'm hoping things improve for her. Looks like we have a start with her not smoking for the last several days. :)

Wow! Considering how difficult it is for people to stop smoking, that's great! Everyone has their up and down days. I'm sure she'll improve, but the parenthood cycle is inevitable... you're going to worry about her regardless.
