Mom passed away Tuesday night

You know, when I was a kid I never understood when people died why adults used terms like "passed away," etc. I didn't understand death then and felt they were being sort of evasive in their use of speech. Friendship means something to me. It is a deep sense of joining and a "family" like situation. Friends know each other, see weakness and strengths and work to make each other's lives better. For me, the term friendship doesn't define some sort of loose affiliation, but rather a sense of love and commitment. I may "know" a great number of people, but only a few are counted as "friends". You, Bill and David are amongst the few people who count as "friends". In the same way that you were there for me, I am here for you.
