I thought we were going to have an emergency landing coming back from Mexico via LAX. Pilot says - we need to go around again, an indicator light is having an issue. Followed by - when we land you may see some emergency vehicles, its just a precaution. Next thing he's over the sea dumping fuel (spotted by my beloved engineer). So we come into land on the furthest away runway and as we come down I count 11 fire engines plus numerous other emergency vehicles. Thankfully we got down ok but then had to stop whilst the vehicles surrounded us and we were checked "in case the brakes were too hot". Still not sure whether it was an indicator light failure, fuel leak or what. Have to say I was impressed with the emergency response LAX provided in less than 5 minutes though I would prefer never to have to see it again.......
