An Early Spring Trek to the Emerald City

A few weekends ago, Mike and I flew up to Seattle for a long weekend to visit our friends Susan and Maureen.  Mike and Susan have known each other since college, so it's like visiting family.  Besides checking out a slew of restaurants, old favorites and new discoveries, we also had a chance to make side trips to the Jimi Hendrix Memorial in Renton ( Read more... )

You'll love it. The main store downtown is like having coffee and doughtnuts in a big library. Floor-to-ceiling bookcases on each side of the store. A glass wall facing the street, so lots of sunlight. And FANTASTIC doughnuts and coffee.

I've always wanted to do one of his cooking camps. But they are a little too expensive for my budget.
