We all went out to the Castro last night to celebrate with the gays. It was amazing. They completely shut down the street for the party. It was like a mini version of pride, accept better because it was so spontaneous

This is Vienna Teng; a wonderful songwriter from Berkeley/SF (who now lives in NYC). I've loved her for years and was in-tears when she introduced this song in a concert a few years ago. It's entitled "CITY HALL" and... well just listen to the lyrics and you'll figure it out. She wrote it following the February 2004 events and it would be SO WONDERFUL if she returned to SF (which she does often) to sing it live to the love-filled crowds bound to flood there again.
