Did you get a copy of the lease? Look at what it says about this and talk to a lawyer if you can. It may be cheaper to pay the fee to break it now.

Yes, I did get a copy of the lease, and no, it does not have a provision for early termination. Meaning, Lucas and I are financially responsible for the apartment until a replacement can be found. (I've been sleuthing around the net.) The option to pay a fee and be done with it is only available if it is in the lease itself...

We have a new lead tech and he is looking for an apartment. Mike Urban is his name. Where is the apartment located and can I have the landlady's info?

It's the Gazette Apartments, on Isle Royal Street across from the Library restaurant. (something like 63 Isle Royal).

The contact is Paula Lahti. Her number is 906-482-8816.

Even if this doesn't work, thanks for the help!!

Jessica Mariano is also looking for an apartment. At this point, she's going to end up sleeping on a couch in my new place if she doesn't find anything, so definitely facebook her and let her know.

If it makes you feel any better, in England, students generally have to pay about £80 a week for a nice house, which is about $155 yes?

A week!! That's £320 a month!! That's over $600!! Yuck!! Actually, I think that in most places in the US, apartments are more. It's where I live that things are cheaper, though not this one. But wow... I couldn't afford to live over there without a nice big loan.

Shaughn's actually looking for a place to live for the fall, before he graduates. His old plans fell through a few days ago. If you still need someone, want me to ask him for you? Or are you looking for someone who can stay the whole year?
