This is for fanatics only. They just released all the Fleischer Popeye cartoons on DVD! Beautifully restored from the original negatives!! Plus a bunch of other early sound and silent Fleischer cartoons, including some of the Out of the Inkwell series ( Read more... )

Nice story about KK and yes, I remember perfectly you told us you love it when I post something about, it had quite time ago.

Lot of things brothers Fleischer invented are in the mind of people as Disney inventions. The truth is that the Disney productions at the time were quite cool, even not so original than the Fleischer ones and even without the same success. For this he had to wait until Steamboat Willie (inspired by Buster's Steamboat Bill Jr. :D)and since then the history changed a lot but we can easily say that the thirties was yet a great era for Fleischer bros.

The bugs movie is Mr. Bugs Goes to Town (even well, if you have the book you must have in that moment far more information than me :)

As things are going we maybe have to protect RKO from your anger, now you still don't have nothing against it :D

I don't remember ever having so much fun at the cinema as when I saw the Simpsons Movie. :) Best thing ever, seriously.
This was the first time I didn't see the Harry Potter movie when it came out, btw. Normally, friendws would drag me to the cinema to see it, but now? As I'm living alone, there is no motivation any more.

Wow, carriba, it's great to hear from you again! What's up with you these days?

I really did enjoy the Simpsons Movie, too - and since then I bought some of the early season DVDs and am going through the whole set. What a great show it was back then. It changed comedy in America forever, I think.

I watch the Harry Potter films but I don't know why - I'm not that much of a fan, either of the books or the films. (Like you - dragged out by others.) I don't think any of the movies have been particularly good, the earlier ones were plain awful. I stopped liking the books at some point in book 5 - something just turned me off, I don't remember what. I thought book 6 was mostly filler, just padding while waiting for the last book. Book 7 seemed pretty good though, made me feel better about the series. Still, it's hard to write something that long over that much time and continue to sustain interest - as I've learned for myself. :D Rowling did a good job overall.

I'm quite alright, how are you? =) Sorry for not logging in/commenting for so long... I'm taking my intermediates this winter, so I'm kind of stressed. I even dropped all of the art contests I normally participate in anually in October...
How was your summer? Not too hot, I hope? ^^;;

I'd love to buy the seasons myself, I'd like to have all the seasons that were released, actually. It would be nice to be reminded of the time the old episodes were actually on tv. :D

Actually, I kind of don't care much of the resemblance (or the lack thereof) of the HP movies with the books, probably because I don't care that much for the canon. And I still haven't read book 7! :'( We also have a seminar on that book, but I chose Sherlock Holmes over it. :3 <3

Hey! Thanks! I'll add you as a friend even if I don't understand Russian... XD - and of course you're welcome to read mine. I don't make very many entries, but I did post some fiction earlier on if you're interested.

If you want you can also look at my Rayman fanfic journal "Rayfics" - it has a few other things that are not on DA. http://community.livejournal.com/rayfics/
