Well, from what Mum was telling me it sounds like it's a Queensland-only thing. She doesn't know of anything like it in any other state.

It is totally and completely FUCKED. I was horrified while Mum and sister were explaining it to me (they've worked in areas that deal with information privacy, so have come across it before).

I have no idea how it got passed. The thing which leaves me gobsmacked is how many people probably don't even know this law/act exists!
