Huh. I had no idea that you had such a bleak backstory for your action figure!verse - I thought Daniel "limping into the cabin" was some routine recovery, not something permanent. Do you have a larger story in mind to go along with this?

But that is so Jack - Daniel's down for good. He resigns and he's there. Yeah.

Yeah, kind of. I don't really have a bigger plot but I do have some ideas about the state of things that might get written in other ficlets. Teal'c ends up leaving Earth because the media won't leave him alone (given that he's the only alien living on Earth that they know about), but he still sneaks back for visits. Sam keeps going offworld for a while but eventually requests a desk job and does research until she decides to retire. Jack drags Daniel to his cabin for his recovery, and Daniel ends up wanting to stay, so they do, and Sam joins them later on.

The funny thing is, all this backstory was supposed to be in the first ficlet, and then the second, and for some reason the muses wouldn't let me put it in there anywhere. ^_^;;;
