EEEEEEE I BECAME A GRANDMA FOR THE FIRST TIME YESTERDAY

What an amazing, incredible blessing this is. My new granddaughter is beautiful. My daughter is a trooper. My son-in-law is utterly besotted. Quite frankly, so am I. :D

We now return you to your regularly scheduled SG-1 fannishness.

When my eldest, the kid in this icon, was born, she was the first grandchild on both sides, and the first great grandchild on three out of four sides. We have seen this joy and delight in action.

Mazel tov!

May your every moment with her be sweet, and may you smile sweetly and hand her back to her parents the moment it seems like it won't be. I'm told by my mother that this is the great delight of grandparenthood.

HA yes. My sister told me that one too. :D So far, it's just an utter delight even to hear an infant's wail!
