An SG vid rec

While I'm collecting together a set of SG recs that I've read recently, this vid prodded me to make a rec to the comm. bri's Wake Me Up Inside is a Jack/Daniel friendship vid that is moulded to the music and contains effects I've never even seen before. The emotion smacks right between the eyes, too.

I thought the vid was an affirmation of friendship and concern and some really tragic moments, overlaid with a kind of cubist graphic equalizer. I found the whole thing utterly fascinating at all sorts of levels. I can see how the effects might be distracting, but I saw this as art rather than story-telling, and it works for me that way. It certainly feels very different from bri's other vids.

I think both Danny/Martin and McShep will involve a lot of action and/or intense looks, of which there are many examples. Not as much as Jack and Daniel, but there are few shows that get that level of relationship.

Ah, is it because I deleted the entries? Not because I didn't want to say what I did, but I suddenly realised I wasn't posting to your LJ and wasn't sure whether I was supposed to be commenting at all in a recs thread.

I also realised that I'd rambled on about other stuff entirely and didn't think it was appropriate. All in all I think I rather screwed things up *g* Sorry!
