Hi! My name is Mary.
Well, the song that helped me the most and made me become a NEWS fan is「Ikiro」. TBH last year I just liked NEWS but not as a fan! So, that time I faced some seroius work-education releated problem that made me feel like I have no more energy and will to continue and just wanted to run away from evrything. Someday when I was in my room doing nothing I put all the songs on my device on shuffle and 'Ikiro' was on the middle of the list -you see was too lucky😎... it was strange, though I didn't understand the meaning -but some words- it reached my heart. Then I looked for the translation! I don't say it chaneged me to a possitive person in a blink but made me realize that I'm still alive and I should live on and try again.
As for now, I usually listen to 'Ikiro' and 'U R not alone' to balance my mind when I feel things get tough. When I first saw the question of the contest this time, I thought it was going to be great to write down my emotions and feelings. I have been a fan of NEWS since 2019. You can tell that I don't have a strong connection compare with other fans. I didn't go through those 986 days with them, but still, I gain motivation and inspiration every time I listen to their music. “Ikiro” was the first song that I listened to since I watched “Zero: Ikkaku Senkin Game”. It's a very special song for me. At first glance, I have some knowledge about Japanese, so I can understand some lines in the song. To me, it's like a voice keeps pushing me forward when I'm feeling down.

“...Live on!
Experiencing defeat
Hitting rock bottom
Despite all that, you can still start over right?
With the life you've received, bet everything
Until you burn out, keep living...”(Translated by Aitamashii ( ... )
