There are certain pairings I can't or won't do. Do you have pairings in mind for the first round? I hate to be the jerk who won't write a pairing, so sits on the story for two days.

I don't blame you for that. At the moment, we're looking at a gen teamfic/pairing of your choice story.

As I'm looking at the rules now, I'd say you can take your name off the list (or ask for it to be put back on) at any time during the story's run, for any reason. We'd almost have to work like that in order to accomodate people who are maybe going away for a weekend. Does that help you?

That...would probably work for me, so I'm in.

I'm interested. I've never been part of a round robin before.

I have a question, though: Is there a minimum or maximum wordcount, or anything like that? (Because I'm pretty sure I could manage a 250-500 words even with a prompt I didn't particularly like, but would that be enough?)

That is a really good question. soleta and I have not set any minimums or maximums on word count. But I think that, especially if it is a challenge that has a lot of participants, that 250-500 words will be fine. The whole point of the community is to have fun.

as for me, it doesn't matter how long it is as long as it moves the story ahead. Yes, that's a value judgement, but it generally works.

if I had to set a lower limit it'd be something like 100 words. So you see, you're good either way. :D
