It appeared that she was just a very popular person to spar with lately, from Lily to John and Ronon and now Sitael as well. Entering the training room she allowed her bag to slide down her arm, watching the other woman for a silent moment. She looked like she was strong, and she had heard that Sitael was capable of taking care of herself in a fight, this should prove to be interesting.

"Hello." She greeted finally, placing her bag on the ground she pulled her water bottle out and set it on the floor before she grabbed two batons off of the wall and twirled them around within her hands.

"Hello." Sitael responded automatically, moving neatly back onto her feet. She moved after Teyla, grabbing batons as well, face an unreadable mask. "Are there any rules?"

She figured she should at least ask. She didn't want to later be wrongly acused of cheating. She twirled the batons in her hands, moving to take a fighting position. She was more than ready.

"One, only it is less of a rule and more of a respect. If there is someone who enters the room to talk to myself, or you, the duel stops until attentions can be returned to the duel." She'd implemented that in all of her sparring matches thanks to Ronon.

There was no need to ask if she was ready, as the woman had already moved into the fighting stance that Teyla herself was familiar with. With one final twirl of her own batons she too moved onto the mats and held her hands out to signal that she was ready to begin. She would leave the start of this up to the other woman.

"Fair enough." The 'respect' was simple.

As soon as Teyla was ready, Sitael attacked. She took off, charging at full speed, batons gripped in her hands as she swung, one across and high, the other in the opposite direction, low. A simple dual strike. Just enough of one to test her opponant's abilities.
