John had just returned from a mission and he was exhausted. The heat had been unbearable and while none of them were suffering from heat exhaustion per Carson, all he wanted to do was veg out in the rec room with about five gallons of water (although he settled for two bottles).

The minute he entered the room, he saw Independence Day playing and a familiar tuft of hair. "Captain," he said with a drawl.

Lily turned and smiled at John Sheppard, who looked utterly exhausted and dehydrated.

"Hey, how'd your mission go, sir?" Lily stood up and went to the mini refridgerator and tossed him a large bottle of water. Then she went back to the couch, where she made room for him.

Even though he looked tired, he was still very nice looking.

John smiled tiredly as she handed him the water. "Thanks. It'd have been much better if it hadn't been so damn hot on that planet and McKay wasn't bellyaching the entire time since the energy reading turned out to be a bug similar to the firefly."

Lily grinned. She had been on a lot of missions like that at the SGC. Lily was usually the one to be chastizing the others for complaining even though she wasn't team leader.

"At least one of the labs didn't blow up while you were on duty today," she smirked, "Very very nasty work there."

Truth. One of the scientist teams had been working with a chemical agent that happened to be very sticky and gooey. It had taken her half and hour to scrub that paste off of her skin and out of her hair. Not something that she wanted to repeat immediately.
