Hee - I send your cat pretty fishies!
But Rodney's cat (the mysterious creature) is not allowed to eat the fishies ... wherever they are (oh, you'll love the location). But there sure are lots of fish mentioned for many different reasons.
::giggles:: Yes, you may pet the boys as much as you wish (since TPTB put them in a shoebox and stuck them on the top shelf in the closet).
As there are 26 easy chapters (plus prologue and epilogue), you'll soon find out why Rob's inclusion is vital.
And, yaaaaaaaaay! I'm glad I caught your attention. Besides, "Madame Helenka Sees All!"
Well, I am intrigued. Who is Rob? What was on the piece of paper? Hmmmmm. I enjoyed the description of the fortune teller's dress, like a nebula forming, its scattered sparkles resembling newborn stars.
Hee - well, I had to leave some surprises. After all, we know who Rodney, John and Teyla are. And ... most of the peeps (though I do have other important OCs). Besides, with 26 chapters plus prologue and epilogue, I didn't want to just include a snippet as it could well be a chapter on its own. You'll also get a lot of my compassion as well as political mindset (bonus, maybe?).
::giggles:: I make good nebulae, don't I? And I'm glad you're intrigued. Yum.
May we all have nice snuggles with so much good reading material this winter.
Yay - I'm glad you're choosing it for that reason (among any other number of reasons, lol). Rob is very special to me.
He represents my yearning for justice in an area where there is no compassion currently. [Yes, I'm being deliberately ... dense!] But his character is based on real people's experiences (well, except for Pegasus, stargates, etc.).
I hope he'll live up to your expectations.
::goes back to counting down the hours, minutes, etc.::
Is he gay and recently kicked out of the military? ^___^ That'd be awesome. :D
I liked what I read here and I'm definitely intrigued. I have to admit I hope that it's not entirely through Rob's eyes, but I did enjoy his character in the snippet. I'm putting this story on the list, too. :)
Shhhhhhh. You're going to give away one of my sekrits. Because you guessed right about his former identity. But there are major heroes in this story to make things right (or at least better), so that makes me happy (which doesn't make sense since I wrote the thing).
Don't worry, this is not primarily a story about Rob or through Rob's eyes. But writing the prequel was the only way I could submit something without giving away major secrets and plot twists. It's primarily a McShep love story with some McShep/Teyla romance beyond their enduring bonds of friendship. It is also intended as my respectful homage to Teyla's character and her great value to Atlantis and Pegasus. It is also a kind of genfic with old friends such as Radek and Evan and Chuck and Miko. And ... others. Hey, why should I write a simple story?
Welcome aboard. I hope you'll have a most enjoyable 44-year long voyage ... when it finally goes live.
But it's not just the addition of a "u". There's one spelling that even floored me (when I ran it through Canadian spellcheck).
Hint: I'll give you another reason to read my fic that'll make you swell up with even more Canadian pride (other than from mere duty). The Canadian government does a wonderful thing! I researched lots of things and everything, save for the 'gate and Atlantis, lol, is based on fact.

Hmmm...I'm curious as to what part Rob will play, but I'm all over Rodney in charge. LOL *pet the boys*
Thanks so much!

Um, look at icon.
You're looking at the old fortune teller (just a bit more worn down, lol).
Thank you.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, 'cuz it's hard to do something unique when one doesn't have vidding or other mad technical skillz.
