thank you so much! I think I wrote it all in one shot and all in one afternoon. Once I started, it just flowed. :)

Thank you! He's always been my default POV for stories, I really feel like I connected with the character from the very beginning. After all these years, I still enjoy writing him. :)

Loved John's retrospective on his colleagues/friends and their first year in Pegasus. Favorite line: "In spite of himself, John realized that he counted Rodney as a close friend…although he couldn’t think of any reason why he’d ever tell McKay that." LOL Perfect!

I keep forgetting that it's been ten years since Atlantis started airing. Even though I jumped on the train late in the game, I still remember watching SG-1 at the time, hearing about Atlantis' launch, and thinking, "Hmm ... I should check that out one of these days." (Who knew what ominous thoughts *those* were, eh? LOL) It just seems like it couldn't possibly be that long! Thanks for sharing! :-)

hehehe... a story idea I've had for a long time is how Rodney ended up on John's team. Sure, he'd want the best scientist, but lets face it, Rodney also has a lot of liabilities in an off world military team, especially in the beginning before he kind of figured things out and got better. It had to be something that John thought about in selecting his team. Liabilities are not good things to have in a life or death situation. ;)

I remember seeing brief ads during SG1 showing a gate underwater and saying "coming in July" and I remember thinking "I really like SG1 so I want to see that." Speaking of ominous thoughts... ha!

I can't believe its been this long... time really flies.
