The blue, red and brown aren't doing it for me. I think the original still has the most "umph." Have you tried a green?

Yeah, I tried the green, and it didn't really click. Looking at them now, I think it's hard to top the original.

the original rules. i find myself feeling a little off-put by the background... three tones... not two??? not an even number??? don't get me wrong. I like the two-face, maybe i'm just used to the use of duality and even numbers in two-face's usage.

That occurred to me while I was doing the ink wash, but I was afraid that the background would then be too dark. I'll try cutting down the tones in Photoshop; if it's something you noticed, chances are others will as well (especially Microcon attendees).

Black for sure... your image is based on contrast and shadow... best in black and white.

My old professor/wedding photographer always said how black and white add to the drama of the subject, while color photos make it more about the colors used.

i know that's camera stuff, but honestly, when do the arts not overlap?
