Firstly, let me get this out of the way: I haven't read the books. I've considered it, and I do want to, in the same way I would like to read A Song Of Fire And Ice. I probably will, at some point when I'm less invested in fandom and have more time. Maybe over the summer or something

I read the book in four days. I started on Friday, finished it yesterday :P It was so good :) Seeing the movie tomorrow. I couldn't wait after the trailer, but having read the book I definitely can't wait anymore :D Hope you get to see it soon too :)

I still want to read Game of Thrones. I can't yet because of dissertation material that HAS to come first (I took a break over the weekend :p *cough* ;)) and I want to read the books before I see the show, but.. it's getting harder and harder with everyone squeeing so much :)

I know I could run through it super fast, because not only do I speed-read like a boss, but YA books are always easy. But I have SO MANY things to do.
WAIT A MINUTE. Do you get it earlier than us, too?

Haha speed-read like a boss XD I'm actually a superslow reader, so in that sense, you'd have it finished in no time :D But it's also about mindset right? If you have a lot of things to do, you can't set yourself to do it. I totally recognise that.

We usually get huge blockbusters a day earlier for some reason. But don't fet, we usually get all the rest of the movies months after you guys :(

Confession: I've only read the first book, I just really haven't had the time to read the other two, but I'm pretty excited about the movie. It does look really good and from as far as I can tell it's pretty accurate to the book.

I think depending on how much I like the movie, it'll dictate how long it takes me to read the books.

Also: The historian/anthropologist in my likes to see if there are actual thought-out ways that we could return to out-and-out gladiatorial spectacles. This = ♥

Have you read/seen The Hunger Games? I thought it was pretty fascinating. It didn't have as much of the societal exploration I'd have liked, but I enjoyed it too much to notice.
