Nothing much to report. I have tomorrow off, and I'm looking forward to fireworks. I scheduled a haircut for the week after I get my paycheck, too, since I'm all shaggy nowdays. See, I'm one of those unfortunate people who saw Serenity ("You don't have to have watched the show to enjoy this movie! It's made of teh awesome!!!1!1!") and never watched an episode of Firefly. So, yeah, I probably will never watch the series because the movie left a bad taste in my mouth (I hate character deaths...the only exception I'll make is Boromir and Theoden in LOTR because, hey, they redeemed themselves.) and because, yeah, they lied, you should so know the show before you watch. I was soooo confused. :P

I loved the series, and it(Serenity) left a bad taste in my mouth. So I know what you mean. The show and the movie are very, very connected, and so much of the movie revolves around knowing the basics of the show. They did lie to you, lol.
That being said, while Serenity is angsty and dramatic as hell, Firefly is actually totally different, tonally. One episodes involves Reavers(yep, them; it's where they're introduced, but even then, it's not as bad as the movie, imho), but other than that, it's actually pretty lighthearted. There's a bit of an undercurrent sometimes, but it's fun. Whereas Serenity is depressing.

Okay, I'll stop selling it now. LOL

(Did you see the epilogue to Just Pretend went up today? :D)

LOL, I think they were more going with the idea of "It's so made of win that you won't care if you don't know the show!" Wrong, dudes. Wrong.

Maybe someday I'll watch it. But you know my feelings towards TV. :P :P

I did! But I am on a self-imposed fic ban until I get my crap written. I've gotta tease Ruby that she's gonna lose her WIP queen title if she keeps finishing fics. ROFL
