Mat Honan got hackedIf you're like me, that sentence means nothing. But if you read the article...it all comes into a bit better focus. This reporter got hacked, his computer and phone were wiped, his accounts were destroyed, and his Twitter(and that of Gawker) were taken over by the hackers. Yep; I keep things separate and I hate Cloud services. And I kinda despise Google and Apple.

Me too. Like, I used to like Apple, but once you know a bit about how things stand and look at everything...why would you want to let Apple in to control everything? Ditto with Google. If I ever got an Apple product, it would be as a secondary computer/phone/whatever, because I could never entrust my full computer life to Apple.

Aaaand I think I know what I'll be doing tomorrow o.O

Just went and deleted my credit card info from amazon, I don't think I have an Apple Account (even though I do have a Mac xD) but I'll have to check that later =/

But yeah, I'm very thankful I don't connect my accounts *nodnod*

Also thank you for the link!

Yeah, I used Visa reloadable gift cards for my online stuff; a different card for each big service, though I really only use Amazon.

I've never heard of someone who has a Mac but not an Apple account. Kudos! I've avoided getting my own(the only one I have has no card attached(iTunes gift cards!) and uses an old email) 'cause I don't really like Apple very much.

NP! I know stuff like this gets me on high alert, so I have to share.

Visa gift cards sounds like a good idea :) I also like paysafe card very much, though it makes shopping at amazon harder cause it takes a bit more effort, which might actually be a good thing xD

I used to have one but I only had an IPod for like a year before it broke and after that it was too frustrating because of the stupid format of the songs and iTunes and I just didn't bother anymore xD
