Banner Contest
Stargate Movies Campaign Banner Contest!
It’s contest time again, folks! And this go round, we are asking our fellow gaters to create special banners for the campaign. Unlike the logo contest, you can and are more than welcome to use images of from the shows! There are a few rules that you need to follow in order to enter your banner:
1) The campaign is dedicated to only sending positive messages of support about Stargate. All banners must be positive and must be respectful to ALL the characters and ALL the shows. We will not accept any banner that we feel is derogatory to any show, character or any part of the franchise.
2) The campaign is about sending a positive message to TPTB that fans still want and support the SG movies so please keep that in mind and limit your wording to our campaign slogans “Fight for the Greenlight!” or “Please Greenlight the Stargate Movies!” or "Support the Stargate Movies Campaign".
3) You may use images from the shows or movies, but you may not use images of the actors from their other works (example: You may not use images of Michael Shanks’s role in Smallville).
4) Please do not depict any ‘ships. We are a big fan of ‘ships, but unfortunately not all fans agree on which ships are acceptable. While you may have images of your favorite ‘ship together (example: an image of Sam and Jack side by side or smiling at one another), please do not depict the characters in any romantic settings or images.
5) Please do not use images of the characters, aliens, or technology from SGU. We love SGU, but since our campaign is about getting the SG1 and Atlantis movies greenlit, please limit the images you use to that show (exception: You may use images of SG1 or Atlantis characters individually as they appear on SGU so long as SGU characters are not in the image).
6) You may not use another artist’s work without their express permission and without giving them co-creator credit.
7) You may enter one entry per category but no more. Winners will be chosen from the following categories that the banners will be placed in:
1) SG1
2) SGA
3) SG1 and SGA Together

8) Please keep all banners to the sizes regulated by forums (400 x 200 pixels or 56 KB, whichever is smaller.).
You may submit your entries to sgcampaignentries@gmail.com beginning May 2, 2010 until May 16, 2010 (midnight EST). At that time, each category will be represented in separate entries on our LiveJournal page, where you will be able to vote or you may choose to send your votes via email. More details will be announced once we are ready for voting to begin. One winner will be chosen from each category and the winners will be awarded a prize. The banner with the most votes will be featured on our LiveJournal page!
The prize will be the winner’s choice of one of the following: one SGA season 5 DVD, OR one SG-1 DVD movie (Ark or Continuum), OR one SGU 1.0 DVD, OR one SGA Fan favorites on Blue Ray (all DVD’s & Blue Rays are region 1 only ) OR any two SG paperback books currently published and available as new from amazon.com/usa OR one SG action figure currently in production, and available as new from amazon.com/usa OR one Stargate SG1: Vala Mal Doran #1 comic (available in May). All prizes are subject to availability, limited to a maximum value of $30.00 and the ability to reasonably mail or ship it.
