My Big Smutty Table Afterglow. It wasn't a concept that Xander was familiar with. Sure, he'd heard of it, but he'd never really experienced it.
Faith had pushed him out of the door before he'd had a chance to catch his breath and Anya - well, Anya loved her orgasms. Sometimes, after Xander had finished pleasuring his girlfriend, his afterglow subsisted mainly of a lot of snoring.
Spike wasn't much different. Buffy's death had rocked them both and they found themselves feeling lost and alone. It was easy to find comfort in each other when they were alone on patrol. A quick blowjob behind an abandoned crypt or mutual hand jobs in a quiet alley were enough to relieve the whip tight tension between them but the need for a connection never quite when away, especially when Xander reached for the vampire who was no longer there.
Xander tried not to let it bother him. They were guys, guys didn't need that kind of thing. Guys needed the rush of the chase, the thrill of the act, the ecstasy of the release. They didn't need the petting and cuddling. They shouldn't want to held and caressed.
But Xander did.
He wanted comfort and care.
He wanted to be more than a fuck.
He'd gone to the crypt, determined to get what he wanted.
Spike had seemed surprised. But Xander didn't let that stop him. He calmly grabbed the vampire's hand and led him downstairs to the bedroom. He'd forced them to take things slow for the first time, to touch and taste, to know who it was they were with. Xander lay on the bed with its clean cotton sheets and the candles burning around him, offering himself to the vampire in a way he'd been frightened to before.
It was rough and hard but gentle and giving. It was more than he'd ever thought they could experience. They sighed and cried out, coming together in a way neither had before.
Coming down from the high, Xander sighed as he realized his partner was silent and still. As he caught his breath, he pulled himself up to slip out of the bed. As the sheets slid off his skin, Spike whispered, "Stay."
Xander turned, his hazel eyes catching questioning blue. He smiled softly as he slid back beneath the sheets, curling around the sleepy vampire, basking in the afterglow as if it were the sun.
