hello! just to clarify, is it ok if, for example, we're looking for a certain service (eg. cupcakes/tailoring as per your examples above) and we do a looking post on sgst asking if any sgst members/their sisters/personal friends/mothers/etc can provide it, rather than asking them to give us links to external webbies ( ... )

a couple of posts of those nature has gotten through and people responded with giving links instead, which poses a big problem because they get unhappy when we ban them, saying "i was just helping".

so basically, to be on the safe side, we shouldn't be posting any website links other than those that are on sgst , personal sales journal , runwaycity. did i get this right? yes.

we may re-use stock pics from yahoo taiwan auctions/online shops and most of these have the watermarks of the original sites (mayuki/cutie/etc). is this allowed, or not allowed? :/ - if you can crop it out, it would be okay. i think there was a case previously that forced us to discourage the use of stock pics because we cannot be sure if the seller is trying to disguise a spree when she does not have stock on hand.

hope that clarifies

not advisable. it would be better if you copied and pasted the information into the post itself instead of making your buyers click a million and one links.

ive got a question.

what if lets say for example we borrow a picture from someone else (could be a sales lj/personal lj), and i state there 'picture credits to yadayada'

would this be against the rules?
need to check on this because afterall, i have to acknowledge the source of the photo, or else i'll get slammed on the other side for using their pictures with no credits. but yet i also have to comply with sgst rules.

please advice. :D

usually members will buy/sell/trade within lj journals and they usually are sales journals so it's ok to link them

i'm talking about blogspot and external links.

hey, need some clarifications!
(:

so say I put up a looking post with , " Looking for a black tee similar to this " and put up a photo with a watermark of a blogspot shop, is that allowed?

And i ask if anyone is able to tell me where to get it or have one willing to sell, are they allowed to give me websites of other places, not LJ?

Does the new rule also means the I cannot link a photo to another LJ site?

Thanks.

2 (d) sgselltrade is a community for Singaporean Livejournal.com users only. Members are NOT allowed to promote any other site except runwaycity or your sales livejournals (via comments, HTML or photo watermarks). External promotion = 2 week suspension or permanent ban.

as long as it's external, they are not allowed to leave it lying around the community. maybe you can get them to email if what they have is really really what you want.

it's not a new rule. it's a rule that has to be further clarified because people have been abusing it. you can link the photo to only your sales journal.
