Smiling in fond amusement, Jonny carefully removes Chuck's shoes and wrangled his lover under the covers. He sat on the edge of the bed beside Chuck, pulling one leg up to rest his chin on his knee. Wrapping his arms around his leg, he watched Chuck sleep. He could see the edges of a bruise forming along Chuck's hairline and it made Jonny frown. Chuck needed to see Beckett soon. Letting him rest a bit wouldn't hurt, though.

It's only a few moments later when the medics and the gurney arrive to rush Chuck back the way they came.

"Mr. O'Neil? I'm afraid Sgt. Lenoir has a pretty bad concussion. We've given him some meds to help reduce swelling and there doesn't seem to be any intracranial bleed, but he should stay here for observation at least overnight You can see him for a few moments, but that's all. He needs to rest. And he may not be totally lucid."

"Hey. They say you'll be okay, but gotta stay overnight. You had me worried, sweetheart. And here I thought I left behind the trouble-prone boyfriends when I was split." He takes Chucks hand in his and smiles weakly. "Get better, okay? I'm already reconsidering how light I let those marines go. I'll wait until you're up and about before I really punish them, though. It should be amusing watching Ronon kick their asses."
Jonny stays with Chuck until the nurse kicks him out then spends several hours pacing the hall outside the infirmary.
