Chuck woke up, momentarily disoriented until he realized he was in the infirmary. Head injury. Right.

There didn't seem to be anyone around. Jonny had probably left to catch up with Daniel, everyone else would be busy with Dr. MacGregor.

"Hello?" he called, softly, wondering if there were anyone close enough to hear.

"Hello?"

Jonny froze when he heard that familiar voice then tore into the infirmary, past the nurses and over to Chuck's bed. "Hey!" He gently took Chuck's hand, grinning down at him. "How you feeling?" Jonny turned and hollered behind him. "Can we get a nurse over here?" He turned back to Chuck. "Never leave ya alone when ya don't want 'em, never around when ya need 'em.

Chuck laughs at the speed with which Jonny arrives. "Feeling just fine, same as always...can I get out of here now?"

Jonny starts to reach up to run his hand through Chuck's hair but thinks better of it. Instead, his hand settles over Chuck's pulse point. "Not 'til the docs clear ya, Chuck. Ya gave me quite a scare, ya know." He sighed as he shook his head. "If I find gray hairs in the morning, I swear we're breaking up. Bad enough when my previous geek made me gray with worry. I'd really prefer not to repeat the experience.

Chuck smiled. "Hey, you're the geek, I'm just a grunt with a toolbox." He raised one hand to Jonny's face, stroking his cheek gently. "How'd it go with the snake?"
