I am not an invalid...

Chuck sits down at Jonny's desk, resisting the urge to bang his head on it. That probably wouldn't be a good idea. It's been more than 24 hours since he was released from the infirmary, and after a good long sleep he should have been ready for light duty, or at least to go get himself breakfast in the mess hall, but no, Jonny insisted on him ( Read more... )

Chuck opened the door. He wasn't sure what the situation was Jonny had run off to deal with, but if he wasn't back by now, it would probably be a while.

"Yeah, got on the wrong side of a Marine's fist, spent the night in the infirmary with a head injury. Jonny worries too much. If - if you don't mind me asking, how're you doing?" He blanks for a moment on what she's thanking him for, then realizes she probably means his small part in the plan to deal with the Goa'uld. "Hey, don't thank me, I'm just a convenient set of hands that knows how to wire a console. It was Jonny and Dr. Jackson that did all the thinking and most of the work."
