We're Confused...

We have a question for those of you who "lost everything" to Superstorm Sandy: why are you now standing guard over a pile of wet rubble? What's left for the looters to take?

Get your silly behinds to high ground, there's a nor'easter coming!

How are YOU? I've been worried for you. Have you got lights and heat and food and water?

Oh, I live in the northern half of Manhattan Island, which is basically a big rock. I didn't even have to close my windows! But my old downtown neighborhood was flooded, and the VA hospital lost its MRI machine.

We had no subways for a couple of days (which didn't bother me, I don't go out much anyway) and my brother, who was visiting from Florida, couldn't get a plane out until Friday.

But people closer to the ocean still have no power and it's getting cold! And then there's that nor'easter...

Thank goodness you are okay. It's nice to live on a big rock. LOL.

I've been following the news on the aftermath of Sandy. It's just heartbreaking.

I haven't heard from a lot of friends who live in the area for a while, so I've been anxious. Before the storm hit, I invited them all to Minnesota--but no takers. LOL

It's been balmy here--for November, that is.
