I don't believe there's anything particularly unsatisfying about my life, so I've never given this sort of question much thought. I have a pretty good life, after all. It's not an easy one by any stretch of the imagination, but nothing worthwhile ever is. I have the satisfaction of knowing that what I do is for the good of the people of Canada and ( Read more... )

Good to meet you, Constable. I don't believe I've had the pleasure- might I ask your name?

It is good to hear from you again, Sergeant. You have been missed.

If I may ask, what is your dream for the future of your country?

I'm afraid I had obligations to answer to. Still do, to a lesser extent, but they don't conflict with anything here.

The thought had occurred to me, but isn't he working with you? I'd hate to drag him away from that- not to mention that I'd feel obligated to uphold his duties, which means I'd never get out of Chicago. Under the circumstances, it'd be rude of me to ask.

Never hurts to ask, does it? Besides, he might like the break from Turnbull, who's apparently decided he's a botanist.
