STL...Yay?

I need to learn to not sit at home by myself and listen to my classic rock/easy listening mixes. They just put me in a mood to do...something. Not really get out and run around town, but something deeper. Kind of like sit in a coffeehouse with a friend I really don't know well and carry on long, philosophical conversations. Since I'm not at a ( Read more... )

I think meets create a supersaturation of culture, during which it's easy to crystallize and fall in with people who you might otherwise be only sorta-ok friends with.

Any way you slice it, it's interesting.

I agree with you on that, Fusi. I think too many people cross the line between wanting to get to know one of their "internet friends" better and becoming annoyingly clingy. I'm sure I've been guilty of that on a few occasions.

hehe...It's not me you have to apologize too. It's the man who didn't get any because his woman felt like tossing her cookies after the lawnmower scene.

-gnaws- Funny, I consider my intarweb friends in the group of "don't get to see enough, but when I do see them, it's like we've never been apart" sort of thingie.

But then, I'm failing at thinking right now, and think perhaps I managed to avoid the worst of the pitfalls of this past weekend :\

I think it's been all of the drama free meets I've had that just caught up to me. I know I didn't see you much. Makes me sad. We'll just have to come down for a visit soon. :)

/me dramas all over you

Yeah, St. Louis was a wake-up call. Too many people thinking too many things without first getting the facts. I totally enjoyed our "Drama Free" zone though. I think a lot of people felt comfortable hanging out with us in there.

I have a few "internet" friends that I don't consider as "internet friends" at all, you and Don falling into the top of my "real life" friends category.

Okay, my 1337 self is going to be late for work. *laughs hysterically*

I love you!

I can't help you with the coffeehouse bit, but any time you feel like having long, philosophical conversations, feel free to call me. It's not quite the same as being there in person, but at least you don't have to shed the Pooh slippers.

Awesome! I tell you, I love my heels, but it's damn hard to pry the Pooh slippers off once my doggies slip into the warm fuzziness.
