I read that Palin took the gun sight map down from her Facebook page and the "Don't retreat - reload!" tweet off her Twitter after the shootings but BEFORE the widespread parallels were drawn by people everywhere. What more evidence do we need that she was well aware of her own culpability regarding the incident? The fact that she has been uncharacteristically silent, rather than address this point or offer any apology, shows that she is only interested in deflecting blame from herself. I truly hope that this nightmare is enough to put the kebash on any chance of her ever attaining another public office of any kind. After all, better politicians that she have fallen for a lot less significant reasons.
It blows my mind that there are people still out there who would argue that she and others who use a rhetoric of violence bear no responsibility in this situation. What else has to happen before realization finally dawns? I dread to think.
