Congratulations on your engagement! What a wonderful event to look forward to! I've marked the calendar for 2006! Wow! The ring is beautiful, too - excellent taste
( ... )
Well, the only thing that is difficult to deal with for us is when something happens.. It's so very easy to blame it on everyone in this country, and for just a moment, to wish they didn't exist.
I will admit (And I probably should save this for another post, but), the Iraqi people in general are extremely lazy, self-gratifying people. They care only in their immediate survival, and do not have the spirit that allowed America to fight for its own independance. It makes it really hard to fight for a people that really don't want to fight for themselves (in fact, the insurgents offer these people easy money to drop roadside bombs, and many of them take the offer).
This place isn't the world you know.. It can often times seem more like a living nightmare. The only good thing is that I know I'll be out of here in four months.
Thanks for the kind words regarding our engagement! I hope everything is well on that side of the earth, and I'll be home soon!
I'll be interested to see your next post - maybe you will write in more detail about the Iraqi people you have encountered - it's interesting to hear what you have to share about that.
It will be good to have you home - I'll bet looking forward to being with Jess makes each day go by faster!
Things here are good. Things change very fast, though. It's hard for me to keep up with all the new changes right in our own back yard. I'm sure you heard about the new youth building at the church - did you hear about the new stadium at UCF right in our back yard? 45,000 seat stadium will be built on the corner of McCulloch and Orion. It's still being debated. But, the school will most likely win. 6 home games a year.
Tell Jess to call if she needs anything - she can always email me too! I'm here and go right past Full Sail every day! John and I look forward to seeing you once again very soon. Have a great day today - keep out of too much trouble...haha.
I wound up waking at 1:30 and i have just been laying in bed since. I tried going back to sleep but Mike has been calling me to take care of lease stuff. His parents wont co-sign for him so my dad is instead. I think we finally got it all worked out. Dawn still isnt talking to me...shes communicating to me through mike. I think she feels bad that she yelled at me again. Anyways, im okay. Still coughing but okay. Im leaving for home tonight...probably around 6pm. So i should be home around 9:30 and i will email you when i get home to let you know i am alright.
As for your article, I love you so much Andy and i want to do all that i can for you, I just dont know what to say when you talk about stuff like this...I dont know how i can comfort you...or make it easier for you. And.....This should probably go in a personal email :P...so i will calm down and save my thoughts for tonight :/
but yeah...Were getting married :) 15 more months :P Time needs to move alot faster...
*Hugs* Congratulations on getting engaged. I'm sorry I have not emailed you or anything but, things are so chaotic right now. I know things are way worse off for you though. I hope everything is going all right. I'm so happy for you!
