This is my first story for rosebuds! It's a little longer than five-hundred words, but the idea came from one of their prompts. I feel it could have been a bit lengthier, but I didn't want to add more than I needed to. So, please enjoy! :D

To see that the Scourge of Europe could be reduced to such a lonely creature was so sad! I liked the way you tied this story back to the episode, and we got to see what Angel was thinking about when Buffy mentioned friends.

Such a sad story. To think that Angel made a friend, but then lost him... I love the line about how he'd failed the only living creature that trusted him. It's such a brutal, depressing thought to have.

Nicely done! I hope we'll see more rosebuds.

*sob* Did Ben have to die? Poor Angel, all his friends die in the end. So sad.

And very vivid imagery of Angel rooting around dumpsters, filthy and ragged.

Nice tie up to the episode too.
