Okay, so this is my first story for writers toybox and I'm a bit nervous. Pretty short, not so sweet, but I heard 'apocalypse' and this is the first thing that came to mind. :)

Welcome, and thanks for contributing a fantastic story! Is this Drunken Beetle of Blood Roses? Glad you made it here.

I've seen a lot of Buffy/Angelus fics and even a few set in Hell/Acathla, but I think this is the first one I've read that put both characters into a bestial state. It's fascinating, and definitely seems plausible if they had endured living there together for hundreds of years.

This is a wonderful first story, sweetie. Where have you been hiding?

I love it. A good twist on the Acathla scene.

He could have taken over hell, ruling all and controlling everything, but he had been looked at as a traitor - a traitor that had fallen in love with a slayer. He had murdered many in her name, causing them both much pain and suffering, but he couldn’t allow them to touch her. They couldn’t take what was rightfully his.

Angelus couldn't scrub her out of his system. As we know, the demon takes on the traits of the human they take over, and of course Angel was in love with Buffy, so...

Just a little thing -

his body stayed frigid, I think you mean rigid?

I always felt that Angelus only did the things that he did because he couldn't face the fact that he did love Buffy, or was at least obsessed with her as demons had a hard time 'loving.'

This was a very enjoyable story and a lovely entry for The Four Horsemen challenge. I liked that you flipped what happened and had them both taken by Acathla.

I had planned on making it a bit longer, but I didn't want to get very detailed with the types of torture I'd imagine they'd get inflicted on them.

And thank you for making such a enjoyable challenge! I hope to participate in the next one as well. :)
