Why I chose this: OMG hot. The voices are spot on and I'm left with the same sense of hope that House is going to fix things that I get watching the show. Did I mention hot?
Excerpt: The room reeks of antiseptic and sweat, stale humans who've been there too long, but John doesn't move. He can't leave Rodney behind, barely able to stumble out into the brighter hallways, cleaning up in bathrooms only when the red-head forces him, eating what the blond doctor with the too-pretty mouth surreptitiously brings him. John suspects there's a hint of solidarity going there, but doesn't comment on it.

Why I chose this: Rodney as House (of course) and John as Wilson? Yummy, thank you very much. The title's a little misleading because it works as a fic as it stands.
Excerpt: Sheppard is sitting at his desk, filling out paperwork. He looks up sharply at McKay's entrance and puts down his pen, leans back in his chair with his hands behind his neck.
“May I help you?” McKay sits down in the chair across from him. He plays with the toy jet on Sheppard's desk. Sheppard takes it out of his hands and puts it back.
“New case,” McKay grumbles. He picks up the model jet again before Sheppard can slap his hand.
