Will the 18th of November never arrive????

We've got gale warnings here. It is very very windy and we have had that old Scottish phenomenon - horizontal rain - all morning. A day to sit inside and keep warm? I wish! Mum's got her flu jab and Sam's off for an x-ray at the dentist - so my poor wee car will have to brave the weather some more today. I just hope I can get Mum from her house to ( Read more... )

Horizontal rain, wow, I thought that was a Florida thing. I'm kind of glad to know it's experienced around the globe. Not glad that you are getting a soaking today, though, when you have so much to do away from home.

Yes, there's nothing quite like it for blowing all the cobwebs away. I must go down that way and have a look at the waves later - they are amazing.

I think we've just caught the first front of your weather up here Sha're. What fun, like you I've got to go out in it as well. Storm force winds expected later, deffo a night to stay indoors.

I know what you mean by feeling un-inspired, I've been the same for a while now. Stick with your photoshop matey, don't be put off by other folks skills. I've liked your recent icons. Just find some tutorials on LJ and have some fun, it's a great way to learn your way around PS.

Hmmmm, hubs has just got in and announced he wants to go shopping this evening (could have something to do with not having got me a birthday present for tomorrow! I'll get to buy my own.) Dont know if I dare brave the drive to Edinburgh... I'm just glad we dont have a 4x4 or an MPV, the car was shaking like mad when I went out.

No - not at all. Sam's playing at the Argentina match tomorrow, which shall probably be the highlight of the day. I'm saving my night out for Harry Potter - God that sounds wrong on sooo many levels - because I'm a saddo!!
Perhaps I shall get rid of the kids tomorrow night and we'll have our annual "snuggle"?

I am SOOOO looking forward to "Goblet of Fire". I've read some early reviews and so far they are very positive, although "Prisoner of Azkaban" had good reviews and I felt they left out far too much. My husband got a bit lost and I had to explain some items to him after the movie.

Hooray - someone else likes Harry Potter!! sha_re71 November 11 2005, 16:25:48 UTC
I thought that too about Prisoner - it really was my favourite book and although the film was good, I think they left out some pretty important facts (the whole Marauder's Map explanation for one) I'm a right sad case when it comes to HP - I just love JK Rowling's writing (honest its got nothing to do with boarding schools, magic and such things - cough!) In our house it is Adam and I that love HP - so we shall bore hubs and Sam all the way home with comments about what they left out!

The scuttlebutt is that it's the best one...

I've not seen any HP movies beyond the first one. The first one seem to lack the zing of the book, I thought...

Yes, the books are certainly better in my POV... but I find that true of all the books I love that have been adapted to film.
