Cold today, so so cold. So cold that even the "baby" kept his hat, gloves and scarf on! Miracle. Stargate was brill, but sorely lacking Jack. There were parts of tonight's episode that were crying out for his dry wit.... alas it was not to be

You make me ashamed to complain that I had to put on a sweater today! Yesterday and today were the first cooler weather days we've had in FL this year. (Of course, we make up for it by enjoying frying temps for six months out of year.) But the cooler weather makes a nice change and puts me in a holiday mood. (It's hard to get into the mood to roast a turkey when it's 85° outside.)

It was a bit chilly today wasn't it?? Wait till Thursday/Friday....it's going to get really windy, wind coming straight down from the north, temps -6 (without wind chill). (how sadly weather-obsessed am I?)

It's tricky knowing when your homework help is crossing into the realms of cheating, tough call. Is your lad enjoying "Of Mice and Men"? I adored it when we studied it at school.

His teacher probably doesn't believe in correcting the spelling until the writing is done. To self correct as you're writing can easily cause a person to freeze. Of course the teacher didn't explain that to your son.

I think you're OK unless you grab it away and say, "Here, let me do it!". :_P

You're right Hats - she would be there forever if she had to point out everyone's spelling mistakes. I should really explain to him that at his age he should be able to pick up on mistakes like these. Sometimes I think its easier being "teenager mummy" - but then I realise that this is the age that they get judged by THEIR acheivements - I cant control it and that is frustrating.

I am sadly weather obsessed too AND I must admit that I now look at the weather for the Moray region as well! Now that is sad!
