Stop calling them 'refugees'!!!!   Were they tortured by ruthless leaders?!?!  NO!!  Were they thrown in prison for their beliefs?!?!  NO!!   Were they beaten and left to the animals to die?!?!  NO!!!   Rescued from death camps?!?!  NO!!   Then why the blatant use of the word 'refugee' for people who chose to stay in a hurricane?  Evacuee I am ok ( Read more... )

AMEN! I hate that too.

I also hate how the media is portraying this as "the American Tsunami" ... ummmm... HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of deaths and hundreds of thousands more due to disease and hunger is not even comparable to what happened in New Orleans. Not only that but people were WARNED about what happened in New Orleans and no one was warned about the Tsunami. Granted, what has happened is horrifying and I was in tears the other day watching some footage.... But come on! No wonder other countries hate us!

1.) The hurricane that hit New Orleans and Mississippi and Alabama was an astonishing tragedy. The suffering and loss of life and peace of mind of the residents of those areas is acutely horrifying ( ... )
