Feeling 100%
I am feeling 100% better and my energy level is way up. This makes me wonder how long I was sick before I caught on. I have not had this much energy in quite some time. Maybe it's just the weight loss associated with the illness but I don't think so. I am feeling much like a Paul of years gone by. I feel refocused on my life and work. Here's to ( Read more... ) -
Last Shot of Antibiotics!
Went to the doctor yesterday and I am bacteria free! Today I took the last dose of antibiotics of my treatment. Now I just have to wait a week and go back to the doctor's office to ensure I'm still bacteria free and I can have my PICC line removed. Freedom is only one week away.

Long Time No Update!
It has been awhile since I felt up to taking the time to update here on LiveJournal. For those not in the know I had a little run in with the medical world. In other words I got really sick. Friday's Update on Paul...
I just got off the phone with Paul. His Transeophageal echocardiogram went really well. His doctor has determined that there is no bacteria in his heart. PTL! The doctor has also mentioned that Paul might be moved to a more private room soon. We are both waiting to hear what his next course of treatment will be. -
Another Update on Paul...
Paul had his abdominal ultrasound this morning and we should have the results within the next 24 hours. We have scheduled a followup appointment with the doctor that requested we have the ultrasound.

An Update on Paul
As some of you may already know Paul has not been feeling 100% for quite some time. He's lost a lot weight, and hasn't been eating a lot due to lack of appetite. A week ago Paul went into see a primary care doctor for a physical and to begin the process of finding out what's wrong. Garden Update
Just a quick update on the garden this year. I was very skeptical at first about this square foot gardening method of growing vegetables, but it has been very successful and we plan on going from 3 boxes this year to 9 next year. This has really helped with our grocery bill but more importantly the fresh vegetables are just so much better than the ( Read more... ) -
Perfect Tea Mug
While Paul and I were visiting everyone in Colorado last weekend. We stopped at Target to pick up some essential supplies....coffee for Nikki and Paul; french press coffee mugs to brew said coffee; and I found the perfect travel mug for tea. Anyway I didn't get to try out the mug until we got because I didn't have any loose leaf tea with me.
