I wish I could vote for Ron Paul but I don't support his ideas across the board - especially his stance on abortion. A lot of his ideas make a lot of sense and he speaks the truth (which a lot of candidates don't do), I'd like to see someone like that in office.
yeah if you find someone that you agree with 100%, i'd have to wonder when you decided to run for office. because thats about the only way.
oh and btw even though Ron Paul is anti abortion, he has made it very clear that he would leave it to the states to decide, which is, you know, what the government is supposed to do. (according to that silly constitution thing)
i find it hard to believe you truly don't care. I am the most apathetic person i know and i still care enough about the people who make the laws to vote.
i really don't. i neither like nor dislike bush, because while what he does affects me, i never notice it.
there are few things that could make me want to vote, short of someone's platform being all about murdering anyone who isn't white, american, and upper middle class. or, perhaps, wanting to ban video games.
i don't watch the news, i don't read the news paper, and i try very hard to avoid any sort of political discussion. i get my general every day news from the boyfriend (who does read the paper, watches the news, reads cnn.com, etc), but i don't care enough to beat my head against the wall like a lot of people do about things like abortion, gay marriage, or whatever else.
i have no opinion on who becomes president at this time. in fact, want to hear something really ignorant? besides obama, i don't even know who's running, and i like that way.
that's kind of weird that you don't care how you can be affected on a day to day basis. one time, someone will get elected that DOES affect you and you will notice. by that time, sadly, it will be too late. there's a hundred examples of how that could happen (such as your boyfriend getting drafted and killed in a war, your basic right to choose as a woman, etc..) but I am too lazy to write them out. what I'm not too lazy to do however, is care.
