Yes... This is EXACTLY why I always try to finish my drafts before moving on to the next one!

My biggest problem is that I tend to move to something else when I get stuck or when I finish a draft. I like to have a little time between finishing and revisions - to let it percolate and simmer a bit. Just because I'm a seat of the pants type of writer doesn't mean my process isn't rather involved. I'm generally a 3.5 draft writer - the zero draft, the rough, the beta and the final (counting the beta as half because it's generally half as long as the final almost every time though I could probably say the same from beta to final as it's not like there are usually huge changes/fixes). I'm determined now to at least attempt to clear out the hard drive and get all of the stuff that's been languishing there while I've been in my funk out into the submissions process. I've spent a few years writing without doing a whole lot of submitting so I've got a bit of a backlog lol

Been there on the submission limbo - I am just now at the point where my work is out under consideration!
